Zhangjiakou Photovoltaic Power Station under construction

Recently, the 20MW Zhangjiakou Photovoltaic Power Station EPC project undertaken by China Electronics Engineering Design and Research Institute (EEDI), a subsidiary of the National Development and Investment Corporation, has started construction in Wanquan County. Following the concept of hosting the 'Green and Low Carbon Winter Olympics', this project will bring good environmental and social benefits, and play a positive role in improving air quality in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region.

The 20MW distributed photovoltaic power generation project is located in the northwest mountainous area of Wanquan County, Zhangjiakou City, covering an area of 620 acres of wasteland with a total investment of 200 million yuan. It is expected to be connected to the grid by the end of this year. After completion, the annual power generation of the photovoltaic power station will approach 30 million kilowatt hours, and the total power generation in the next 7 years will reach 700 million kilowatt hours. This is equivalent to saving 9000 tons of standard coal annually, reducing 27300 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, 823 tons of sulfur dioxide emissions, 411 tons of nitrogen oxide emissions, and 7459 tons of carbon dust emissions.
