Overview
The power dispatch data network mainly consists of a first level national power dispatch data network, a second level regional network, a third level provincial network, a fourth level municipal network, and a fifth level county-level network, covering all levels of dispatch centers, directly dispatched power plants, and substations. At present, the construction of the first to fourth layer networks has been basically completed; Some provinces and cities have started building a five level network.
The power dispatch data network is a real-time transmission network for power production. The main information transmitted includes power system automation information, dispatch commands, relay protection, and safety automatic device control information, which are important foundations for safe power production and automatic dispatch. It plays an important role in coordinating the joint operation of various parts of the power system, such as generation, transmission, transformation, distribution, and consumption, to ensure the safe, economical, stable, and reliable operation of the power grid.

According to the relevant technical requirements of the National Electric Power Dispatch Communication Center, the second plane of the National Electric Power Dispatch Data Network consists of two levels of autonomous systems: the backbone autonomous domain (backbone network) composed of national dispatch, grid dispatch, provincial dispatch, and local dispatch nodes, and the corresponding access autonomous domain (access network) composed of direct dispatch plants or stations at each dispatch level.
The first and second planes of the backbone network are relatively independent. Each access network should be connected to two planes of the backbone network through two points, forming an independent dual network dual access network mode. Factories or stations will undergo dual configuration, connecting to different access networks, and achieving network backup through dual coverage of dispatch stations to achieve high reliability.
