Overview
The nationally pioneering intelligent lightning arrester discharge counter (operational status intelligent sensor), jointly developed by Beijing Aodeweite Electric Power Technology Co., Ltd. and Sichuan Zhongdian Qimingxing Company, is capable of intelligently sensing the operational status of lightning arresters in all current grid scenarios. It has been put into use in multiple substations under the jurisdiction of the State Grid Sichuan Electric Power Company and the Fujian Electric Power Company, and is operating well.
According to the DL/T 596 Preventive Test Code for Electric Power Equipment and relevant technical standards of the State Grid, it is necessary to record the discharge times of lightning arresters in substations and transmission lines. Using traditional lightning arrester discharge counters requires manual recording, which poses difficulties in data acquisition and management. The passive wireless lightning arrester intelligent sensing system features real-time monitoring of lightning arrester operating conditions, no external energy supply, and secure and accurate data, thus meeting the relevant needs of lightning arrester maintenance to the greatest extent.
The system is divided into an intelligent sensing system for lightning arresters used in transmission lines and an intelligent sensing system for lightning arresters used in substations.
System structure and working principle:
1. Intelligent sensing system for lightning arresters used in transmission lines
The intelligent sensing system for lightning arresters used in transmission lines consists of three major components: an intelligent sensor for the operating state of the lightning arrester (intelligent discharge counter), a system backend, and a client. The intelligent lightning arrester discharge counter is installed on the tower material near the suspension point of the line lightning arrester, and one is required for each line lightning arrester. When the line is struck by lightning and generates overvoltage, the line lightning arrester operates, and the counter detects the lightning strike event in real time and locks the current time. Then, it integrates the unique address of the device and the event information, and sends it to the system backend through a wireless transmission unit. In daily working conditions, the device is woken up in real time by a timer. After collecting the operating conditions of the lightning arrester, it also sends the information to the backend through a wireless transmission unit for the client to browse and view. The core component of the entire system, the intelligent lightning arrester discharge counter, consists of lightning strike event acquisition, real-time clock, wireless transmission, processing unit, and energy supply.
2. Intelligent sensing system for lightning arresters in substations
The intelligent sensing system for lightning arresters in substations consists of three major components: the intelligent sensing terminal for lightning arresters, the substation voltage aggregation device, and the synchronous control communication device. The intelligent sensing terminal for lightning arresters collects real-time full current waveform data, action frequency, and time of the on-site lightning arresters. After processing the measurement data through Fourier transformation, it uploads the results to the synchronous control communication device in the substation via wireless transmission. This device adopts a micro-power design, so it only needs to collect the leakage current of the lightning arresters and the high-voltage on-site ground capacitance current to operate, without requiring external energy supply or disposable batteries. This ensures a long operational lifespan and maintenance-free characteristics for the equipment.
